Rebecca Hartung Digital Imaging

This was my first final and I then made another version. I like how this one turned out I think that the craziness of it is what I am feeling right now. I wanted to make a collage feel with paint and I added some string on top. I feel lost and I don't know what emotions I am feeling most of the time. I am happy for new beginnings but I feel like a part of me is dead.  

This is just a little draft of what I want to do but with paint. I want to paint and draw all over the print of the top image. I want it to look like a doodle, or sketch book.   

 

 I think for this project I want to do something of a self-portrait. I have a few photos of myself that I would love to edit and distort in a cool way. I am imagining a really groovy and fun maybe almost scrapbook-like final photo. I think it would be cool to print out this edited photo and add doodles and other things over top and under neither it and then frame it. 

 

  This is just a first draft I think I like the pear one more. I want to make one that realistic looking and than one where the mold is super colorful. I am a little lost on how I can create or incorporate more fruit, I don't know if I want it to look like a collage of fruit or not yet. 

 I have a few ideas for this project and I'm not really sure which route I want to take. I would love to be able to create something online and get it printed out and then paint or print make on top of it. My first time is like molding fruit, I'm working with fruit in my photography class right now so I've been thinking about it a lot. I think it would look cool to have intense images of really bright and colorful fruit and then have molding pieces crawling upon it. I also had the idea it photograph hands. Like young children's hands and then older people's hands so you can see the progression of age and time.  Here are some ideas and inspiration that I have found.  I like the hands that I have added however I'm not sure about the placement of them. I feel like there is a lot of negative space in the bottom however I don't want it to look messy. 

 I think I want to focus on the struggles of being a woman. How expensive it is to be a woman and how we are given things with such bad side effects and are just thrown medication to make us happy. I think my other pieces are distracting and this one is a little more subtle. 

  I am going with the theme of the expense of being a woman. I want to involve some of the things that women have to deal with. I need to take more pictures that go along with this theme better. I think that I would choose the word struggles or expenses or even female to describe my project. 

 

  I decided to change my iconic image. I thought that this image of the first man on the moon was more iconic and there was more that I could overlay with it that just made sense. I think I like the glitch-like effect, I kind of want to make a joke about how people think that the moon landing was fake. I added galaxy and plants to some. Others I added a static overlay and glitch to the image like it is fake.  

  I decided to add Big Ben over my image, to go with the England theme. I also made another version with one of the overlays I used the first time. I don't know if that one made it look too messy though. I do like how Big Ben looks, however.
